My main focus is gaming at medium to high settings, and I've got a 1440p 165Hz monitor, so frame stability is super important to me. If there are better options out there, especially if it's worth spending a bit more for a CPU upgrade over the 9600X, I'd love some advice!

Definitely go for the 32GB RAM, but if you want an edge, higher speed RAM like 6000MHz can help with future-proofing and offering better performance in certain games, especially with that refresh rate. But if you're looking to save some cash, the 9600X is still a good choice, just make sure your GPU can keep up with your monitor!
The Ryzen 9600X should serve you well for gaming, but if you can push your budget, you might want to consider the Ryzen 7800X3D for its extra cores.
