Hey everyone! A while back, I started working on a social platform inspired by Reddit, just to experiment with some new tools. I initially never planned to use it for production or my portfolio, but after completing it a couple of months ago, I'm now thinking about showcasing it. The desktop version looks good, but I'm unsure if the mobile version meets the standards that clients or employers expect. I primarily designed it desktop-first and didn't pay much attention to mobile compatibility until the end. I'd really appreciate it if you could check out the site at https://vellumi.me and let me know if you think it needs polishing or if it's ready for my portfolio. Thanks a lot!

I think you should definitely include it in your portfolio! Unless you’re specifically looking for design or UX roles, the main goal is to demonstrate that you can effectively integrate backend and frontend functionality for a usable platform. Sure, aesthetics matter, but functionality is key. This project sounds more than sufficient to impress potential employers!
Do you have a GitHub repo for this project? I’d love to check out your code; it sounds fascinating!
Functionality-wise, it seems to work well. You might want to think about adding user avatars to enhance the social aspect—you could easily pull these from Gravatar or let users upload their own profile images. I’d recommend including it in your portfolio.
