Hey everyone, I'm looking for some advice on a power issue. I noticed that the insulation on the red cable connecting to the battery of my APC BE600M1 Back-UP has been pushed back a bit. I just want to make sure this won't cause any safety issues. Thanks in advance for your help! Here's a link to a photo: [https://imgur.com/a/p5xZHRT](https://imgur.com/a/p5xZHRT)

Yeah, it should be totally fine. If you want to be extra cautious, you could wrap it with some tape for good measure.
You can just push the insulation back if you’re really concerned. Honestly, there's not much to worry about! The conductive parts are secure, and for anything to actually arc, it would need to ground out somehow.
Thanks, I was really worried at first!
Thanks for the reassurance! If I do decide to tape it, can I use any kind of electrical tape, or does it have to be a specific type like Kapton?
