Hey everyone! I'm currently studying Computer Science and I'm trying to figure out the best ecosystem for my app development projects. I'm really passionate about the adventure, outdoors, and traveling niches and have some cool ideas like a spontaneous adventure app that gamifies outdoor activities and a fitness tracker. I also want to create tools like a heat map for crime in cities travelers visit. I'm particularly interested in using C# because I enjoy it, even though I know there are other frameworks out there. I've heard mixed things about .NET MAUI, and while I know options like React Native and Flutter exist, I'd prefer to stick primarily with C# for my projects. Do you think the .NET ecosystem is a good fit for a solo developer like me? Will I encounter challenges?

Using .NET for both the backend and frontend can be done, but it might not be the most enjoyable experience. It's definitely viable, though! Just be prepared for a learning curve if you want to tackle cross-platform stuff.
Is it really that bad? Should I switch to something more popular?
