Is Now a Good Time to Build a PC in the UK?

I'm curious about whether it's a good idea to build a PC right now in the UK, considering the current market conditions. I've noticed that RAM prices have been pretty high due to various factors, including the AI boom, but compared to prices in the States, we seem to have it a bit better. For example, I found 32GB of Corsair Vengeance DDR5-6000 for £169, which doesn't seem too bad. Given these circumstances, should I go ahead and build my PC now, or is it wiser to wait for prices to potentially drop? Or could they actually rise further, affecting the prices of other components? Thanks for any insights!

RAM prices aren't as outrageous in the UK yet, so if you're thinking of building soon, now might be the time to jump in. You can always buy the RAM now and wait to get the rest later!

I bought my RAM for £100 and now it’s skyrocketed to £350. So yeah, prices can change fast!

Honestly, it looks like prices are only going to go up in the near future. If you wait, you might miss out as prices continue to climb. Building now seems like the best bet!

From my experience, waiting rarely pays off. You could wait for one part to lower in price, but then another might go up. It’s better to buy what you need and enjoy using it. Unless money is super tight, just go for it!

Don't feel pressured to get the latest GPUs or DDR5 RAM—you can still enjoy most games with more affordable options. Build what fits your budget and needs right now!

Prices for PC parts are really unpredictable. They tend to rise and fall for various reasons, including supply chain issues. If you need a new PC, just go for it! Waiting could mean other components also get more expensive while you're holding out.
