Is Programming Always a Slow Learning Process?

I'm new to programming and currently learning Python through a course offered by the University of Helsinki. There are quite a few coding exercises, and I've found myself stuck on some of them, which makes me feel a bit discouraged. I also notice that I don't retain much of what I learn. Is it common for programming to feel like such a slow process, especially for beginners?

Absolutely, programming can feel really slow at first. It’s all about retraining your brain to tackle problem-solving in a different way, and that takes a lot of practice. Most of us don’t feel fully confident even after years of learning. Just be patient with yourself!

Yeah, I totally agree! It’s like a marathon not a sprint.
