I've been out of the PC building game for a few years now and I'm considering a new setup. I'm looking at the AMD Ryzen 7 9700X paired with an RTX 5060 Ti. There's a Gigabyte B650 Gaming X motherboard that comes as part of a bundle at Microcenter. I'm thinking of swapping out the RAM in the bundle for something else that I prefer and possibly returning or selling the bundle RAM. I haven't seen the case in person. Do you think this setup is solid, particularly the motherboard choice? Thanks for any advice!

The motherboard is a good choice, but keep in mind you might need to do a BIOS update for it to work with the Ryzen 9000 series CPUs.
Your choices seem great! Just a thought, you might want to consider switching to a different PSU like the ThermalTake Toughpower GF3 750W. It's a Tier A+ unit and supports newer specs, plus it's cheaper than what you're looking at.
That sounds like a good plan. I’ll look into that!
If you're interested in bundles, check this deal out. It offers the Ryzen 5 9600X with a Gigabyte B650M Gaming for good value! It's a great option if you're still deciding.
Everything looks solid! Just make sure to check the CPU cooler height clearance for the case you’re using and compare that with the cooler's specs.
Thanks! ChatGPT informed me I have 14mm of clearance, so I should be good!
Yeah, I saw that on PCPartPicker too. At least updating seems pretty straightforward now!
