Hey everyone! I'm currently in Warsaw learning Polish and think I'm at about the B1 level, working towards B2. My English is pretty basic, and I rely on translation tools. I'm curious if it's worth it to study computer science at a university here in Polish. I've heard that while English is the main language in tech, many IT graduates struggle to find jobs due to not knowing Polish. Plus, I've come across people saying that professors sometimes mix English and Polish, which complicates things further. I believe that getting better at Polish requires immersion, like in a university setting, but I'm also planning to improve my English on my own at home. So, I'm hoping to get some advice on whether it's sensible to pursue IT studies here and if doing so in Polish makes sense. Any real experiences or insights would be greatly appreciated!

It's pretty common for people to study in their native language, including those in fields like IT. The big thing to remember is that most of the resources and materials in tech are in English, so you'll want to ensure you're comfortable in that language eventually. Studying in Polish shouldn't be a massive issue if you're committed to improving your English along the way. Just keep in mind that job postings and professional networking often happen in English, so mastering both languages could be beneficial in the long run.
So it's more about balancing both languages then? That seems tough but doable!
