I'm almost done building my PC, and now I'm deciding on a GPU. I primarily play competitive games and do some 3D modeling and Photoshop work. I'm not interested in the base 4060 since it seems underwhelming—I've heard the 1080 even outperforms it. So, I'm wondering, is the 4060 Ti worth the investment? Or should I consider spending a bit more—like 60 to 80 euros extra—on a 4070 or a Radeon GPU that could either match or outshine the 4060 Ti in terms of performance and price? Just to note, I'm upgrading from a GTX 1060 with 3GB.

I do a bit of video work and competitive gaming on the 4060 Ti, and it handles both fine without any major issues. I'm not sure how it performs for 3D modeling specifically, though. Also, for those eyeing the 4070, just a heads up that finding one at a decent price can be tough right now—used could be your best bet!
Honestly, I think the 4060 Ti isn't really worth it. You'd be better off going for an RTX 4070 or even a 7800 XT. If you're willing to look for used options, an RTX 3080 or 3080 Ti could be a great choice too!
I’ll definitely keep that in mind!
I found a 4070 for 560 euros, which is the cheapest I’ve seen. The 4060 Ti with 16GB costs around 540 euros.
