Hey folks, I'm considering investing in a 5070 graphics card, and I'm trying to figure out if it's a solid choice for playing games at 2k resolution for the next 5 to 6 years. My goal is to enjoy high graphics quality and maintain around 60 fps. I'm not necessarily obsessed with higher frame rates, but I want to make sure I can get good performance out of this investment. You'll notice that only about 20% of gamers have 16GB or more of VRAM, suggesting that it would be unusual for future games to need more than 12GB of VRAM for smooth gameplay at 1440p. You might have to dial back some graphics settings, but a 5070 should be able to handle most new releases without major issues.
