Hey everyone! I'm considering upgrading my GPU and I have a budget of around 1500 CAD. I'm specifically looking to see if moving from a 2080ti to a 5070ti would be a good choice for playing games at max settings on a 1440p monitor. What do you all think?

If you stay within that budget, you might actually find a 5080 instead of a 5070ti. Just keep an eye on those prices since they can vary a lot!
Not to mention the 5080s are generally pricier than what most people quote!
I just switched from a 3070 to a 5070ti and I'm really impressed with how it handles 1440p gaming. It's definitely a worthwhile upgrade for that resolution!
Honestly, if you're just looking for 2K gaming, a 4070 super would be sufficient. Plus, some folks feel the 50 series doesn't offer the best bang for your buck right now.
True, though that 4070 is mainly available used, so watch out for that.
You can grab an Asus 5070ti Prime for about $1089 at Canada Computers or Memory Express. If you overclock it, you can get it performing close to a 5080!
Yes! The 5070ti is great for playing even the most demanding games at 1440p on high settings, hitting around 60fps. You might even dabble with 4K gaming, but don’t expect ultra settings.
Good luck finding it for a decent price in Canada, though; they really know how to mark things up over there!
