I'm deciding between the 9600X for €220 or the 7800X3D for €450, which I'll pair with a 7800 XT. I mainly play World of Warcraft and CS2. Is the performance boost of the 7800X3D significant enough to justify spending double the price, or is it just a minor upgrade?

If you're all about value, the 9600X is a better pick. It performs admirably for most games, including WoW, even if it doesn't have the same cache power as the X3D.
The 7800X3D makes a substantial difference in World of Warcraft. If WoW is one of your main games, I'd say go for it. Once you experience the smooth performance in mythic raids, you won’t want to go back!
Totally agree! The X3D chip really enhances the raiding experience. Definitely worth it!
Honestly, for CS2, the 9600X is a solid choice. I mean, it can hit around 500fps already, so unless you're looking for the absolute peak performance, it's tough to justify the upgrade for that game.
Yeah, but WoW is where the CPU really counts. It’s the main thing I’m considering too.
Agreed, I'm curious about the actual performance difference in WoW between the two.
