Is the GIGABYTE 5070 Ti SFF a smart buy for a first-time build?

Hey everyone! I'm new here and I'm looking for some advice. I'm transitioning from a 1660 GPU and have never built a PC before. I've heard that GPU prices are on the rise, which pushed me to start my build now before it gets more expensive. I ordered the GIGABYTE 5070 Ti WINDFORCE SFF 16G for $1139 CAD since it was the only one available. However, I've come across some reviews mentioning that this card might have issues with overheating or thermal management. Should I be concerned, or do you think I made the right choice? I'm aiming for a reliable build that's somewhat future-proof, with a budget of around $4K CAD. The main reason I chose the 5070 Ti over the 9070 XT is that I've heard it performs better for tasks like video editing and 3D rendering. By the way, I would appreciate any tips on a solid motherboard as well! Thanks!

Just test it out once you get it and monitor the temperatures. It'll give you a better idea of how it performs under load.

I wish I could! I’m still waiting on the card and other parts, but I’m just curious if anyone has actual experience with it.

It shouldn’t overheat or break, but be aware that it may be a bit noisier compared to standard cards. Just something to keep in mind!

I’ve heard that if you have good airflow in your case, it shouldn't go over 70 degrees, even if you overclock it. So ventilation might be key!
