I'm considering whether the Intel i9-14900K would be a good fit for gaming. I've also been looking into the i9-14700K since there are a lot of comparisons out there. Just to give some context, I have an RTX 4060 GPU and 64GB of RAM, but I'm curious about how the processors stack up in real-world scenarios, especially given the reports on Intel's 13th and 14th gen issues.

The i9-14900K is definitely a strong CPU choice for gaming and is excellent for multitasking too. Just make sure you have a good cooling solution and a motherboard capable of handling the power it needs!
Before you decide, do you know which type of RAM you have? Is it DDR4 or DDR5? Also, what's your current motherboard and CPU setup? The i9-14700K and i9-14900K are solid for gaming but have been tricky to recommend lately due to potential degradation issues with Intel's 13th and 14th gen chips.
I have DDR5 RAM and my motherboard is the Gigabyte B760M G AX, which uses an LGA 1700 socket. Just trying to see how all the components fit together.
Yeah, but even after BIOS updates, those 13th and 14th gen Intel models can still have degradation problems, so be cautious.
