Is the iOS 26 Developer Branch the Same as General Release This Week?

I've been using the iOS 26 developer branch for both my phone and watch. With the latest updates this week (23R352 for the watch and 23A341 for the phone), I'm wondering if the 26 dev and the 26 general release have been merged. Considering that the Watch 11 is expected to launch with iOS 26, should I update the watch to the dev version first, or can I directly do the transfer and upgrade? If I need to update to the 26 dev first, my plan is to add the new watch as a second device, switch to the dev channel, update it, reset it, and then transfer from my current watch. Any insights? Thanks in advance!

No need to set up your new watch as a developer device. Just start fresh with it, update to iOS 26, then reset and restore from your backup. You should be all set! Hope it launches with iOS 26 too!

Just turn off any beta updates. If an update is available, go ahead and update to the public release. If nothing shows up, then you're on the public release already. No worries with setting up new devices, everything should go smoothly!
