I'm curious about how employers view this certification—do they really care? Additionally, I've heard the exam is tough, even for seasoned developers, which is a bit intimidating. I'm thinking of starting a project where users can message each other to apply what I learn from the study guide as I go along. Would this be a good approach to preparation?

Honestly, most employers care more about what you can show them over certifications. It’s better to build a GitHub repository with interesting Java projects that highlight your skills. Plus, being able to solve problems on a whiteboard during interviews is crucial too.
