Is the ONIX Arc B580 a Good Graphics Card for Its Price?

I'm currently using an XFX MERC 6650XT that performs really well, averaging around 200 fps in most games. I'm building a PC for a friend with a tighter budget, and I'm considering selling him my card. I'm eyeing the ONIX Arc B580, which costs about $300 after tax. I'm attracted to its 12GB VRAM. Also, I've got a 5800XT as my CPU, so I'm curious if this upgrade is worth it. Is the B580 a solid choice at that price?

I'd say if you're looking for gaming performance under $300, the B580 is hard to beat. You'll enjoy decent performance with your 5800XT, especially on titles that aren’t extremely CPU-bound. Plus, with Intel's XeSS, you can squeeze extra performance without much effort.

For around $300, I think it’s a good buy. From what I've seen, other options like the 5060 Ti or 9060 XT have slightly better specs, but the B580 is well-optimized for gaming in that price range. Just be careful about prices, as I usually see it going above that.

The B580 is a solid option if you’re sticking to the MSRP. It performs similarly to an RTX 4060, so at $300, it’s a great deal for a budget build. Just keep in mind that if the price goes above MSRP, you might want to consider the 9060 XT instead. I’ve had my B580 for a while, and it’s been reliable, outperforming my old 3060 Ti without any driver issues, even for emulation.
