I've been exploring GPUs for a while and I'm stuck between the RTX 5070 and the 5070 Ti. Recently, I've noticed the price of the 5070 has dropped to about $489, which seems like the lowest it's been in a while. I'm trying to figure out if spending an extra $250-300 for the Ti is worth it. I know the Ti offers better performance, but I'm conflicted about shelling out that much more. Any advice?

If you're looking for productivity tasks too, the RX 9070 might be an alternative since it delivers similar performance as the 5070 Ti but typically at a lower price point. It’s still a solid option.
That's what I'm worried about too. How well can the 5070 handle ray tracing, especially compared to its competitors?
Honestly, I think the RX 9070 might be a better choice. It costs a bit more, but it performs better across the board—less power consumption, more VRAM, and better rasterization and ray tracing. It’s only around $30 pricier, which feels worth it!
Yeah, but in actual benchmarks, it's just about 3% better on average. Prices can be all over the place, so it's worth checking.
Driver issues with AMD GPUs can be a pain, though. Nvidia's reliability is still better in that regard, especially for new games.
I'm a fan of the 5070 for 1440p gaming, mostly because of Nvidia’s software like DLSS and frame generation. I haven't had any VRAM issues yet, and if I do, I can just lower the settings using DLSS. But if you’re planning on 4K gaming, you might want to think about that 12GB VRAM limit.
Exactly! I'm also after the 5070 for its performance and features. I normally game at 1080p but want to upgrade to 1440p soon.
The 5070 is really solid! Features like frame generation and DLSS 4 are amazing, and it should only get better with future updates. I’d say it’s worth it for long-term gaming.
If you can afford the 5070 Ti and it's within your budget, it might be worth getting now. The market is hinting at price hikes in the near future, so it might be better to grab it sooner rather than later!
I just got a 5070 for $470, and it has been blowing my mind! I'm coming from a 3060, and the performance jump is huge.
I own both the 5070 and the 5070 Ti, and I can split my gaming between 1440p and 4K. While both are great, the Ti does give a noticeable boost in power for more demanding games.
Same here! Having both gives you the flexibility depending on your gaming needs.

Not sure about AMD for productivity, though. Nvidia has better support for features like ray tracing and DLSS.
