Is the rumored Ryzen 9850X3D worth waiting for compared to the 9800X3D?

I've heard rumors about the Ryzen 9850X3D potentially running at 5.6GHz, which is about 7.7% faster than the 5.2GHz of the current 9800X3D. Since I mostly play CPU-bound games, I'm curious if I can expect a similar performance boost in those games. Specifically, will the increased clock speed help with improving 0.1% lows, or is it mainly going to boost average FPS? I already have most of my build set up with a 9070XT. Should I wait for AMD's upcoming financial analyst day for more information, and if the rumors turn out to be true, will the performance upgrade be significant enough to justify the wait and extra cost?

Rumors can be pretty misleading, so take them with a grain of salt. Hypothetically, yes, the 9850X3D might be around 7.7% faster in CPU-bound scenarios, but that’s assuming ideal conditions. In reality, you might not see that kind of performance gain due to other factors that can affect CPU performance. It’s unlikely to improve those 0.1% lows significantly since cache architecture plays a big role and that wouldn’t change with just a higher clock speed.

Right? It's best to wait for official announcements before making decisions. If the performance boost isn't substantial, it might not be worth holding out for a higher price.
