I recently upgraded my PC from an Intel 14400F and RTX 5060 to a more powerful Intel 14600KF and RTX 5070. My power supply is a TUF 750B, which worked well for the previous build and is still operating fine with the new setup. However, I have some concerns because the TUF 750 is based on the older ATX 2.x standard, while the latest GPUs like the RTX 5000 series seem to be better suited to ATX 3.0 or 3.1. I'm wondering: 1. Do I really need to replace my PSU with an ATX 3.1 model? 2. If replacement is necessary, could anyone recommend from the following list of new PSUs? Here are the prices in my country: * Superflower Leadex VII 850W Gold ATX 3.1 — $103 * Corsair RM850x ATX 3.1 — $120 * NZXT C850 ATX 3.1 — $107 * FSP Hydro PTM X Pro 1200W Platinum ATX 3.0 — $115 (this dealer offers a good price, but it only has a 5-year warranty and is not ATX 3.1) Thanks for any advice!

You probably don't need to upgrade to an ATX 3.1 PSU. Your TUF 750B should work just fine with the 5070, especially since you’re using the adapter it comes with. The Bronze rating is decent, though keep in mind that efficiency might decline over a few years. If you're looking to swap, the FSP unit is a solid choice; it might be overkill, but it offers great specs for the price.
Upgrading to a Gold-rated PSU could help with efficiency long-term, but if you're planning a full upgrade in 3-4 years, it’s not a huge worry now. The ATX 2.0 vs. 3.1 issue shouldn't affect your GPU performance with the adapter you mentioned. Just make sure your PSU can handle the load before assuming it'll work seamlessly. If you’re aiming for a replacement, the FSP Hydro PTM X Pro is a good balance of power and price!
