I'm considering getting the WD SN5000 500GB NVMe SSD to use as my Windows boot drive. I already have a 1TB Samsung 980 SSD for gaming. Is the SN5000 worth it for just Windows? It costs around €40, so I want to make sure it's a good fit for my needs.

Any recent SSD will generally do the job well enough, especially for your OS. The SN5000 is more than sufficient for running Windows and light applications. You should be good to go!
I've got a similar setup, and the SN5000 works really well. You might only notice speed differences if you're moving around huge files, like 100GB ones regularly. But for a boot drive, it should be great!
It's a solid choice for the price, especially if you're focusing on an SSD for booting Windows. Just keep in mind there might be slightly better options out there depending on what's available.
True, but nothing in the same price range as the SN5000 for €40. I've seen other drives at €70, but I don’t think they’re worth the extra for my needs!

I only play games, so not much heavy file moving for me!
