I'm looking to reduce my digital footprint, but it's really tough since I can't remember many of the accounts I created in the past. I've got a mix of different usernames, throwaway emails, and sign-ups on sites I barely recall. I'm interested in finding out if there's a way to create a script or tool that helps me locate all of these old accounts. Ideally, it would scan for old usernames, associated emails, any data breaches, or forgotten accounts linked to me. I'm not looking for anything overly complex, just something that helps me clean up my online presence. Has anyone built something like this? What programming languages, APIs, or data sources did you use? I haven't found much guidance on this topic, especially related to cleaning up personal info, so any advice would help!

It's tough to write an algorithm for searching your digital footprint if you don't know the manual steps to take first. You really need a list of your old usernames and emails to get started!

I get that, but I do have some usernames and old emails in mind. Still, it feels like a lot of manual labor to track everything down. Can't we automate part of it?
