I'm looking to build a budget-friendly gaming PC for my 8-year-old son who plays games like Roblox, Minecraft, and Fortnite. Here's what I have so far: AMD Ryzen 5 7600X, Noctua NH-L9X65 CPU Cooler, Gigabyte B650 AORUS ELITE AX V2 Motherboard, 32 GB DDR5-6000 RAM, Kingston NV3 1 TB SSD, Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5060 Ti Video Card, Antec AX81 ELITE Case, and a Corsair RM850x Power Supply. I know the RTX 5070 is out of my budget, but will this setup work for him? Should anything be changed? You can check out the full build list [here](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/GpwRdb).

Why the Noctua cooler? You could save some cash with a cheaper option like a Thermalright Assassin Spirit for around $15. Also, plugging your parts into PCPartPicker can help us see the total cost and make adjustments if necessary.
I wouldn’t go for the 5060 Ti, though. A 9060 XT with 16 GB would be a better fit for future-proofing him.
Honestly, this build seems like overkill for games like Roblox, Minecraft, and Fortnite. It should run those games beautifully!
Thanks for the feedback! I'm hoping to give him better specs so he can play newer games later.
Just a heads up, an 8-year-old won't fully utilize this hardware. He'll grow out of it and probably want to play more demanding AAA games in a few years. You might want to consider a used PC with Zen 2 or Zen 3 Ryzen, 16 GB DDR4 RAM, and a 20- or 30-series RTX GPU. I gave my old i5-10400F with GTX 1660 Super to my younger brother, and he loves it!

Edited the list. Appreciate the suggestion! [Check it out here](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/GpwRdb).
