I'm considering building a gaming PC with a budget of $1500 that will primarily be used for shooter games. I've put together a parts list and would love to hear your thoughts on whether this build would work well, especially with regards to performance at 1440p. Thanks in advance!

Your build is solid, but I’d recommend changing the air cooler for either a Peerless Assassin or a Phantom Spirit. The only other issue is the RAM size. 16GB is okay, but if you're playing newer games, consider upgrading to 32GB if your budget allows. There’s a kit on Amazon for about $320 that might be worth it.
I have a similar build with a Ryzen 7600X from last year. It’s pretty versatile, but consider the Ryzen 9600X for just a little more—it has better temperatures and a slight performance boost for that price difference.
Yeah, it’s wild how the price of storage and RAM can outstrip the CPU these days! Honestly, if I were building, I'd look at buying some used parts to save some cash.
Yeah, it looks like a pretty good build. Just be cautious with the air cooler since I'm not too familiar with that specific model. Overall, it should give you decent performance at 1440p.
I agree! It’s a solid choice but I'd personally opt for a Peerless Assassin.
If you don’t live near a Micro Center, here’s an alternative build that might be better for you: [PCPartPicker Part List](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ghy3cx). This includes an upgraded CPU and better cooling options along with other components to fit the budget. Check it out!
Everything else seems good! I'd suggest getting 1x16GB of DDR5 RAM (6000 MT/s, CL30-CL36). Going with a single channel for 16GB won’t hinder performance, and it would let you upgrade later if needed.

Thermalright definitely has a lot of cooler options; I think it's basically similar to a Phantom Spirit.
