Is This a Solid Budget Build for Gaming?

I'm looking to set up a new gaming rig primarily for BO7 and Battlefield 6. Here's what I'm considering: CPU - an i5-10400 on an ASUS PRIME H410M-A motherboard; GPU - a Yeston RTX 3050 LP; RAM - 16GB DDR4; storage - a 256GB SSD plus a 1TB HDD; and OS - Windows 10 PRO. Currently, I have an i7-4790, but I'm wanting to upgrade my CPU and RAM. I do have a PS5, but I'm trying to make this setup versatile. What do you think? Is upgrading to the i5-10400 a wise choice? Will it be future-proof?

Have you considered going for the Ryzen 5 7500F on AM5? They're pretty affordable and give you more options down the line, around $150 on Newegg.

This build looks like a good starting point, but I'd recommend not installing your games on the HDD. It would be best to get a larger SSD for better performance.

I’d suggest looking into the AM4 or AM5 platforms if possible. They generally offer better opportunities for upgrades in the future.
