I'm considering purchasing a starter gaming PC, specifically a CyberPower PC model C-Series. Here are the specs: it's built on an MSI b350m Bazooka motherboard, has an AMD Ryzen 5 1600 Six-Core processor, and comes with 16GB of Ballistic RAM. It has a dual storage setup with a 160GB SSD and a 1TB HDD, and it's equipped with an AMD Radeon RX580 graphics card. For connectivity, it uses Intel's Wi-Fi 6E AX210, and it's housed in a Phanteks mid-tower case. The price point is $250. Can anyone provide insight on whether these specs are decent for gaming?

I'd give this PC a score of about 3/10. It’s fine for very basic gaming, but if you're diving into newer titles, you'd face some serious performance issues. What games are you hoping to play? I can suggest some minimum specs for better options.
At the end of the day, this hardware is about a decade old. A simple online search will show you how outdated it is. If you're not willing to do a bit of research on your own, investing in a PC might be tough for you. I recommend checking out some beginner guides, like the one by LTT; it'll help you understand components and make informed decisions better.
The RX 580 is decent for 1080p gaming, but don't expect high frame rates. If you upgrade to a Ryzen 5000 series CPU and consider a newer GPU down the line, your performance will improve a lot. It's a nice entry point, but you'll need to invest in upgrades relatively soon.
I saw another option for $400 that looks promising: a 14th Gen Intel Core i5-14400F with an 8GB Nvidia GTX 1070, plus other decent specs. Think that's a good deal?
This setup would have been decent a few years ago, but now it's a bit outdated. You can definitely upgrade the CPU and GPU later since it's on an AM4 motherboard, which makes that easier. However, be cautious about that SSD; 160GB is quite small for today's standards. You'll likely find yourself running out of space quickly, especially with modern games.
I found out it's actually the 4GB version of the RX 580, which is a bummer.

I'd like to play games like Arc Raiders, Forza, R6, and some single-player titles like CP2077 and RDR2.
