Is this old PC worth upgrading instead of keeping my Series S?

I came across this PC on Vinted for £60. It has an i5-2500K CPU running at 3.30GHz, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. I'm considering selling my Series S and some other things to get a decent graphics card for it. Would that improve the PC's performance? Any advice on what upgrades would be best? I aim to gradually build it up over time, especially once I possibly land a part-time job. My goal is to play games like LSPDFR without having to pay for online, and to avoid spending a ton on games.

That computer is definitely not going to keep up with newer games. If you really want to build a gaming rig, you might as well save up for a better foundation. If you’re serious about PC gaming, maybe look into starting fresh rather than trying to upgrade something that’s so old.

What kind of games are you planning to play? If you share what you're aiming for, I could help you find something that works for your budget. Just know that this PC isn't really a good choice for future upgrades, so perhaps consider other options.

I appreciate the input! I’ll definitely look into getting a new PC when I can save up enough!

Honestly, I wouldn't bother. This setup is pretty outdated; the i5-2500K and 8GB of RAM won't handle anything modern well. Plus, you won't find compatible upgrades since they don't make processors for that old motherboard anymore. If you're looking for real gaming performance, you might want to invest in a new PC instead.
