I'm putting together my first PC and want to know if my build is solid for 1440p gaming. I plan on playing games like Fortnite, The Last of Us Part 1/2, Red Dead Redemption 2, Ninja Gaiden 2, Cyberpunk 2077, and a few shooters. Additionally, I'll use the PC for studying. Here's what I've picked:
- Case: Montech XR dual window compact mid tower with 120mm ARGB fans - £55
- Motherboard: MSI B650-S WIFI - £120
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 9600x - £177
- CPU Cooler: Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120E ARGB dual tower air cooler - £36
- GPU: XFX Swift RX 9060 XT Gaming OC Triple fan 16GB GDDR6 - £350
- RAM: KLEVV CRAS V DDR5 RGB 32GB (2x 16GB) 6000MHz CL30 - £107
- 2 TB SSD: CRUCIAL P310 M.2 Internal SSD - £106
- PSU: GameMax GX-850 Fully Modular 80 Plus Gold Power Supply - £75

Honestly, the build looks promising except for the power supply. GameMax PSUs are known to be unreliable, and you should really invest in a better one. Also, don't forget you need a CPU cooler, but since you mentioned the Thermalright Peerless, you're good there. You could check compatibility on pcpartpicker.com.
I forgot to mention that the cooler I'm using is the Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120E ARGB. Why are GameMax PSUs considered bad?
