Is This PC Build Good for Gaming and Productivity?

I'm putting together my first gaming PC and want to make sure that the parts I've selected are top-notch and compatible with each other. My primary use will be gaming, but I'll also do some basic tasks like working on Excel and emails. I've considered dabbling in coding as well, though I have a MacBook for that. I'm aiming to keep my budget around $2500, but I'm willing to spend an extra $100-$200 if there are significantly better options. Here's my parts list: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU, ARCTIC Liquid Freezer 240 cooler, Asus TUF GAMING motherboard, 32GB DDR5 RAM, 2TB WD Black SSD, PNY OC GeForce RTX 5070 Ti graphics card, Corsair case, and an 850W Corsair power supply. The total cost is just over $2400. Any thoughts?

You might want to consider upgrading your GPU. The RTX 5070 Ti is decent, but if you can swing it, look for an RTX 5080 for much better performance. It could make a big difference in your gaming experience! Here's a good alternative build I found: [Link to alternative parts].

Yeah, I didn’t realize the 5080 prices dropped either! But returning stuff could be tricky. If you keep your case, make sure it’s compatible with your new GPU! Also, for a monitor, I found some great options within your budget.

Honestly, your total cost is a bit high for the monitor you picked. For around $300, there are much better monitors out there that would enhance your gaming experience significantly. Try looking for something with a faster refresh rate and better color accuracy.

What do you recommend for a good monitor in the $300-$400 range?
