Hey everyone! I'm looking to build my first PC and I've created a breakdown of the components I'm considering. My goal is to make a versatile machine that can handle FPS games like Valorant, some casual single-player games, and maybe a little streaming. I'll also be using it for programming in the future.
Here are a few questions I have:
1. Am I setting myself up for a future-proof build that can last 3-4 years? I don't intend to play very demanding games on the highest settings.
2. Do I need extra fans in addition to the ones included with the case?
3. Is my PSU sufficient? PCPartPicker suggests I need 400W, so I opted for 750W for some headroom.
4. Can I find cheaper alternatives for any of the parts without sacrificing performance?
Sorry if these questions seem basic; it's my first time building a PC!

Your build looks great! For programming large projects, consider bumping your RAM to 64GB, but 32GB will do just fine for most applications. The PSU you picked is more than enough, and you should be able to handle future upgrades. Just make sure your case can fit the graphics card you’re choosing! Also, you won't need additional fans; your current setup with 3 intakes and 1 exhaust should keep things cool enough.
Thanks for the insight! I'm actually considering the 7800x3d since it's only about $20 more. Do you think that's a better option than the 9700x?
