I'm considering building my own PC instead of buying a prebuilt one because I find it cheaper and I also want to know where my components come from. I plan to use it primarily for video editing in 1080p with CapCut. Here are the specs of my build: 1. CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600G 6-Core 12-Thread Desktop Processor with Radeon Graphics 2. RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 3200MHz 3. Storage: Crucial P3 500GB 3D NAND NVMe Internal SSD 4. Case: NZXT H5 Flow Compact ATX Mid-Tower PC Gaming Case 5. Power Supply: EVGA 600 W1, 80+ WHITE 600W Power Supply 6. Motherboard: MSI B550-A PRO ATX Motherboard. The total cost came to about $600. Is this a good build for video editing?

This setup looks solid for a budget build if you can't squeeze in a dedicated GPU! If you're able to stretch your budget a bit, I recommend upgrading to a 32GB RAM kit (2 x 16GB). Video editing can be RAM-intensive, and having that extra memory will help with effects, blending modes, and layering your footage smoothly. But overall, it should handle your editing tasks just fine!
I think starting with this build is a great choice. You always have the option to add more RAM and a dedicated GPU later on if you feel the need. Just make sure you monitor how well the current setup works for your video editing needs first!
