I'm looking to upgrade my gaming setup primarily for Counter-Strike 2. My current laptop with a Ryzen 4800H and a GTX 2060 isn't cutting it anymore; I'm dealing with frame drops and poor FPS. I'm really impatient and don't want to wait for Black Friday without knowing if I can find a significantly better deal. I think the CPU I'm considering is one of the best choices for CS2 since it's a CPU-heavy game, especially since I game at a lower stretched resolution and low settings. I also plan to play other games like Battlefield 6, but my monitor is capped at 1080p 144Hz and I don't expect to upgrade anytime soon. Can anyone help me decide if this is a smart buy, or are there potential issues I might be overlooking?

Honestly, if you're aiming for CS2, the setup with the 9800X3D and 5070 will do great. The CPU really makes a difference in that game, and the GPU is less of a concern for what you're playing. Plus, for Battlefield 6, it'll perform fantastically, even on medium or high settings with ray tracing.
I’d recommend waiting for Black Friday if you can. It's not far off, and you might snag a better deal then. Last year wasn’t too crazy, but there's potential for good sales on PCs. Just keep an eye out!

That's probably the smart choice. I've seen some decent sales in the past, so I guess it wouldn't hurt to wait.
