Is This Upgrade Worth It for My Gaming Setup?

Hey everyone! I'm considering an upgrade for my old build and could really use some advice. My budget is a bit tight, so I'm looking for feedback on my planned setup. I'm specifically wondering if it makes sense, if there are any areas where I could cut costs, and whether the power supply I chose will handle a future GPU upgrade (I'm thinking about getting a 5070, 5070 Ti, or possibly even a 5080 later this year).

Your setup looks solid! If you can afford a 5070 Ti or 5080, definitely go for it. An 850W PSU should be more than enough for your needs going forward.

If it's just for gaming, you might want to check out the Ryzen 7600, 7500F, or 9600. They offer similar performance to the 9700X for less money.

Consider downgrading to a B850 or B650 motherboard unless there’s a specific feature on the X670 that you absolutely need. It might save you some cash.

I have the same PSU and it manages a Ryzen 5 9600 along with an RTX 5070 without any issues. The 9700X also has a 65W TDP, so it should work well with your planned GPU, even the 5080. There’s plenty of headroom!
