Is Two Lectures a Day Too Ambitious for MIT 6.100L?

Hey everyone! I've recently started the OSSU curriculum, aiming to tackle MIT's 6.100L course. I've been trying to keep up with two lectures a day and have just finished the seventh one. However, I'm starting to feel like I'm rushing through the material and I'm worried about not retaining what I've learned. I'm contemplating switching to just one lecture a day, but that feels too slow for my progress. My goal is to really grasp computer science and programming thoroughly and efficiently. What do you all think I should do?

Consider why you feel like you're progressing slowly. A typical CS program can take four years! If you can't retain the information, pushing through won't help in the long run. It's more important to understand the content than to just keep plowing ahead.

I get where you're coming from! As a Computer Engineering major myself, I've also felt like I haven't learned much in my first few years. I switched to OSSU because I wanted to solidify my knowledge. The pressure to keep up before graduation is real! But remember, it could be healthier to soak in the material at a pace that allows for true understanding.

If you're feeling rushed, maybe try quizzing yourself on the last couple of lectures. If you remember the material, that's awesome! If not, slowing down might be the way to go until you feel more comfortable with it.
