Is Ultimate USB v2.1 Worth It or Are There Better Alternatives?

Hey everyone! I just stumbled upon Ultimate USB v2.1 and am considering getting it as a digital download for several scenarios. My family members often have a range of computer issues, whether it's boot problems or viruses. I think the forensic and antivirus tools included could be really helpful, but I'm not sure. I really dislike the tedious process of manually removing applications in Windows, as it can be super time-consuming.

I'm also intrigued by the variety of operating systems available for booting, although I'm unsure if they're secure options or just basic Linux. I have a portable NUC where I installed Ubuntu, but I don't use it much. I'm thinking about installing a secure OS there for emergencies.

Alternatively, are there any free or open-source tools that might work better for creating a bootable USB drive? I have a 2TB 980 Pro that I plan to put in an OWC 1M2 80G, and I'm looking for options that would be useful for fixing computer problems or booting secure operating systems.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

You can find some pre-made WinPE disks that do exactly what you need if you look around. Just a quick Google search should lead you to some good options. Also, I’ve got to mention, IODD makes some great devices for bootable options!

I’ve been researching and apparently, Ventoy is what’s needed for your SSD. You can load multiple ISOs onto it, and it gives you a nice selection menu to choose which one to boot into!

If you're looking for a free and open-source alternative, you should check out Hiren's BootCD. It’s pretty handy, and you can use Rufus to make it bootable on your USB drive.
