Hey everyone! I'm curious about whether or not doubling my RAM from 32GB to 64GB is actually beneficial for gaming. I've heard mixed opinions on this and wanted to know if anyone has experience with using both capacities. What do you think?

I just made the jump from 32GB to 64GB recently, and while I didn’t notice a significant performance boost in gaming, I can leave tons of applications open without worrying about memory. If you multitask a lot, that extra RAM can be useful.

Exactly! For someone who has loads of tabs and background programs running, having more RAM definitely makes a difference.

If you’re just playing games and not doing much else, then going to 64GB doesn’t seem worth it. You’ll benefit more if you do other demanding tasks, but for gaming alone, 32GB is often more than enough. Plus, as technology advances, newer rigs will likely have faster RAM, so it might not be necessary to upgrade right now.

In my experience, I rarely exceed 25GB while gaming. 32GB keeps me comfortable for normal use, and most gamers won't need more than that unless they’re running intensive tasks simultaneously.

If you're gaming casually, 32GB is totally fine. But if you do a lot of multitasking or run resource-hungry applications, then 64GB could give you some peace of mind. Just don’t expect huge performance gains just from bumping up the RAM.

Yeah, exactly! If you’re into modding games, you might want the extra RAM, but for most standard gaming, 32GB is adequate.

Honestly, most gamers won't see a notable difference going from 32GB to 64GB. Unless you’re running multiple high-demand applications at the same time, 32GB tends to be plenty. I only upgraded because I needed more RAM for my virtual machines and heavy multitasking, but for gaming alone, 32GB does the job just fine.

That's not true! I often see my RAM usage hit around 36-40GB while gaming and streaming. A lot of people with 64GB say they don’t regret it, but I agree that 32GB is generally sufficient.

For gaming, most people won't max out 32GB unless they're doing something really intensive, like modding games. You’ll get diminishing returns beyond that point. So unless you have very specific needs, I’d say stick with 32GB for now.
