Hey everyone! I'm looking for some advice on whether upgrading from my Intel Core i7-12700K to the i7-14600K is a smart choice. You can check out my current build on PCPartPicker [here](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/t4x7jn). The main reason I'm considering this upgrade is that Intel is offering a free copy of Battlefield 6 with specific CPU purchases, and the 14600K is included in that deal. I did the math, and if I buy it from Newegg, it'll cost me $163 with tax. Since I'm planning to buy Battlefield 6 anyway, the net cost of the CPU would only be $93. Plus, I can sell my old 12700K, so it feels like a free upgrade. Do you think it's worth making this switch, or should I stick with my 12700K? I am aware of the microcode bug, and I'll update my BIOS before making the swap. Thanks for your insights!

Just double-check if that promotion is still active. I heard from someone else that it might end soon, but that's totally store-dependent. If you're seriously considering it, I'd check the dates!
Absolutely, the 14600K is a step up due to its higher clock speeds. If you're already planning on buying the game, go for it!

Good news, the offer is still active! I believe it wraps up on September 14th, so I might just pull the trigger on this upgrade!
