Is Upgrading from a 3060 12GB to a 9060 XT Worth It?

I've mainly played games on console, but now I'm transitioning to PC gaming using my 4K TV to reduce clutter in my setup. Currently, I have a 7800X3D processor and a 3060 12GB GPU, mainly playing at 1080p, but sometimes bumping up to 1440p with DLSS. I'm thinking about upgrading to a 9060 XT, as I believe it will enhance my performance and provide better support for SteamOS/Bazzite, which suits my needs. The Sapphire 9060 XT Pulse 16GB is priced at £320 on Amazon, while I can sell my used 3060 for around £150-200 on eBay, making the upgrade fairly reasonable. However, considering the weaker support for FSR 4 and its ray tracing capabilities, I'm unsure if this upgrade is genuinely worthwhile from a performance perspective. I've seen some promising benchmarks on YouTube, but I'm still figuring a lot out.

I just made the switch from a 3060 12GB to a 9060 XT 16GB, and let me tell you, it feels like a totally different experience! The performance boost is huge. If you're looking for better graphics and smoother gameplay, this is definitely a solid upgrade.

That's awesome to hear! I'm really leaning towards the upgrade too, but I'm hesitant about waiting for the next generation. It feels like prices will just keep climbing.
