Hey everyone! I've been using my mini ITX PC setup for about 4 years now with a Ryzen 5600X, 3060 Ti FE, 32GB DDR4, and a Corsair SF600 Platinum PSU. Lately, I've noticed that some of the recent AAA games don't run as smoothly at 1440p, dropping to around 60fps on medium settings. I'm considering upgrading my GPU to a 5060 Ti since they're available for around 380€ and I could sell my current 3060 Ti for about 200€. That seems like a reasonable upgrade cost. However, I'm wondering if this upgrade is really worth it on its own, or if I should consider upgrading my CPU and motherboard as well. What do you all think?

Honestly, I’d wait and see what AMD brings with their upcoming releases. If the 9060xt lives up to the hype, it could really shake up the mid-range market. It might be worth the wait to get something more powerful!
Yeah, I love my Nvidia card, but competition is always good!
Upgrading to a 5060 Ti is likely to give you about a 15-20% performance increase, which might not be enough if you were expecting a massive boost. It might be better to save and go for something a little higher, like the 5070 Ti if you can manage it.
Yeah, I was thinking about how noticeable the upgrades need to be to justify the cost.
True, unless you're also considering a CPU upgrade, it might not be the best bang for the buck.
If you're looking at the 16GB version of the 5060 Ti, it could be a decent upgrade. But if it's the 8GB version, you might want to steer clear of that one. The memory difference could impact performance at higher settings!
Yeah, I read that the 8GB version isn't ideal, especially for 1440p gaming!
It's great to have the 16GB version, but make sure to check reviews before buying.
I made the jump from the 3060 Ti to the 5060 Ti recently. The performance bump was decent, but not life-changing. If you're used to 55-60% boosts from your upgrades before, this might feel a bit underwhelming. Maybe think about holding out for a bigger jump down the line.
Exactly! Sometimes it feels like you end up paying just to get a few extra frames.
That makes sense. I’d hate to upgrade and feel like I didn’t really need to!
I went from a GTX 1060 6GB to the 5060 Ti 16GB and it's been a great upgrade for my 1080p gaming. If you're pushing for 1440p, it might be good enough, but I'd recommend considering the 5070 Ti if you're planning on taking your gaming to higher settings.
Sounds like a solid upgrade overall, especially if you stick to 1080p!
Definitely a bigger card for increased resolutions and performance!
Good point! I hope it lives up to the expectations for the price point.
