I'm considering upgrading my CPU from an i5 10400 to an i7 11700K. Do you think it's worth the investment?

It really depends on the price you can get for the i7. The i7 does offer better performance, but if you're not getting it at a good deal, it might not feel like a significant upgrade. Make sure to do the math on that one!

I've checked out some benchmarks, and honestly, the differences aren't as dramatic as you'd think.

If the 11700K is going for around $50, then yes, go for it! But just so you know, LGA 1200 components tend to be pricier secondhand, based on my own experience with the 11700K.

In my opinion, it’s only worth it if your motherboard supports the i7 without additional hassle. If you end up needing a new motherboard or tinkering with BIOS updates, it might complicate things more than it’s worth.
