I've been using an ASUS ROG Strix 3060 12GB for gaming since 2022, primarily at 1080p. It's served me well, but I have some leftover holiday budget and I'm considering an upgrade. My setup includes an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, 32 GB of RAM, and an 850W Thermaltake Platinum PSU, which has been reliable for years. The games I play are primarily Microsoft Flight Simulator, Le Mans Ultimate, Assetto Corsa Competizione, and F1 25. I'm looking for advice on whether upgrading to a 5070 is worth it, or if I should consider other options instead.

I upgraded from a 3060 to a 4070 Super and saw a drastic improvement. Given your games and 1080p focus, you could likely max out most of them now. Think about getting a new monitor too, it would be worth it!
Stick with the RTX 4070 Super or the 5070. Even with the 5600X, the 5070's features, like DLSS 4, will greatly enhance your experience with Microsoft Flight Simulator and more.
Upgrading is definitely a good choice! Some suggest looking at the Radeon 9070 or 9070 XT as well; they're worth considering for performance.
Why the Radeon though? What makes it better than Nvidia?
I made the jump from a 2060 Super to a 5070, and it's been a game changer. I barely need to tweak settings at 1440p, and gaming feels much smoother now.
The 5070 is solid, but consider the 9070 for similar pricing—more VRAM, better stability, and efficiency.

Haha, I actually just bought a 32 inch 1440p screen for work, but I’m stuck playing at 1080p! Maxing my games would be awesome.
