Is Upgrading from RTX 5070 to 5070 Ti Worth It?

I'm currently in the process of upgrading my PC from an RTX 4060 and recently picked up an RTX 5070 for $550. However, I'm contemplating whether I should switch to a 5070 Ti since I've read mixed reviews, and prices are all over the place. The lowest prices I can find for the 5070 Ti are around $750 to $820, with many listings going over $900. From what I've gathered, the performance increase is about 10-15% depending on the game and settings. I'm gaming at 1440p, so I'm wondering if that upgrade would be significant enough to justify the extra cost. Should I stick with the 5070 for now and wait for better deals, or is the 5070 Ti a worthwhile investment? I'm also upgrading my RAM to 32 GB at 3600MHz and my PSU to 850W as part of this upgrade. Thanks for any insights!

Edit: I've decided to stay with the 5070 for now, keeping the possibility of upgrading or trading in later when prices stabilize. Appreciate the advice!

If you got your 5070 from Micro Center, they have a trade-in option, so consider that if you're thinking about switching. If not, I assume you bought it third-party. Just a thought!

Good point! That trade-in deal could save some cash for sure.

If you have the option to grab the 5070 Ti, you might as well go for it. It's a solid upgrade if you can find it at a reasonable price. Just be aware that you might not see a huge difference unless you're playing ultra-demanding games.

I suggest acting fast if you want the 5070 Ti. With the current supply issues, prices probably won't drop further. Just keep in mind that for a minor performance bump, it might not be worth the extra dollars unless you see it dropping significantly.

That's what I'm concerned about! I'm still debating if I should return my 5070 for the Ti. At what price do you think the Ti becomes a better deal than my $550 5070?

Honestly, my RTX 5070 handles all my games at 1440p without hitting the 12GB VRAM limit. I play titles like NBA 2K26 and Elden Ring on max settings without issues. So really, it depends on what games you play. If you're satisfied with your performance, stick with the 5070 and invest the extra money in a better monitor or something else.

I totally relate! I'm coming from a 5070 too, and the price changes are driving me a bit crazy as well. It's hard not to feel like I'm missing out.
