Is Upgrading My CPU Necessary with an AMD Radeon 6750XT?

I recently got my hands on a used AMD Radeon 6750XT and I'm waiting for it to arrive. My goal is to hit 60fps at 1080p in most games. I'm wondering whether I should also consider upgrading my CPU, or if my Ryzen 5 3600 will be adequate. If an upgrade is a good idea, what CPU would you recommend that fits a tight budget?

Your Ryzen 5 3600 should work fine for most games at 1080p, but some demanding titles might struggle at max settings, especially if you're into ray tracing. If you do notice any performance issues, consider upgrading to a 5600 or 5600X—those are solid options depending on your budget.

I think your current setup will manage 95% of the games out there without issues. A few might dip below 60fps at super high settings. But if you see some stuttering or frame drops, then it might be worth looking into an upgrade. If you’re considering one, aim for the 5600, 5600X, or even 5700X. I’d skip the 5600G or 5500, though.

Thanks for the tips! I'll monitor my performance and consider an upgrade if needed. I've switched to Linux from a GTX 970, so I expect a pretty big boost regardless!
