Is Upgrading to a 5070 Worth It for My Ryzen 7 Build?

I'm currently looking to upgrade my graphics card. I have a 3060 Ti and a Ryzen 7 5800X. I'm considering going for a 5070 because it's cheaper than the 4070. My main concern is whether my CPU can handle it without causing bottlenecks. What do you think?

If the 5070 is cheaper than the 4070, I'd say go for it! It performs a bit better at native resolution and offers DLSS 4, which could enhance your gaming experience.

Your 5800X is a solid choice and shouldn't bottleneck the 5070. Upgrading your GPU now is a smart move, and you can consider upgrading your platform later. Keep an eye out for the upcoming 5070 Super, as it might come with more VRAM, which is definitely worth it for anything over $500. Some games are already starting to struggle with 12GB of VRAM.

I've seen the 4070 Ti, but it's around £200 more. I can snag the 5070 for about £450, and I'm really just looking for something that runs new Battlefield, not necessarily 4K.
