I'm currently running an Intel 11900K paired with a 3080 Ti and I'm considering an upgrade to a 9800X3D and a 5080. However, I'm not certain if this upgrade is truly worth the investment. Besides the new CPU and GPU, I would also need to replace my PSU (since my current one lacks a 12vhpwr connector), CPU cooler, motherboard, and RAM. I have a 1440p 360Hz OLED monitor that I got for a steal at $450, and I mainly play games like Minecraft, Kerbal Space Program, Indiana Jones, and Oblivion Remastered. I'm also thinking about waiting for the prices of the 5080s to drop before making a purchase.

Your current setup is quite solid, but if you’ve got the budget and think these upgrades will enhance your gameplay experience, it’s worth considering. Just keep in mind the price drops on the 5080.
You actually won't need to change your PSU just for the new GPU connection; it usually comes with an adapter. The power requirements are pretty close, so your existing PSU should be fine.
I'd say the 3080 Ti is still a strong performer for the games you're playing. You might benefit more from just upgrading the CPU or holding off for next-gen components, unless you can snag those parts at a great deal.
Upgrading to the 5080 is a fantastic choice! I switched from a 3080 to a 5080, and the performance boost is incredible, especially for single-player titles.
Honestly, you might find a better value in the 5070 Ti instead of the 5080, especially for 1440p gaming. It performs well and will save you some cash for future upgrades!
Do you notice any latency issues with the new graphics?
