Is upgrading to an RTX 2070 Super in 2025 a good deal?

Hey everyone! Hope you're all doing well. I found someone in my city in France selling a Palit RTX 2070 Super for around 160 bucks after negotiating from the original 190 Euro. I currently have a GTX 970 and primarily play games at 1080p with frame rates varying between 60 and 120 fps depending on the game. Given that I have a 13400F CPU and a 650w power supply, I'm curious if this upgrade is worth it considering the age of the RTX 2070 in 2025. Thanks a lot in advance!

Upgrading from a GTX 970 to an RTX 2070 Super would definitely be a noticeable improvement. I sold my own 2070 Super two years ago for about $180, so it's surprising that the price is still similar. Just out of curiosity, what are the prices like for something newer like a 9080 XT or B580 in your area? You might want to consider those options too!

Haha, a 9080 XT would be awesome, but it doesn’t actually exist yet! I’d suggest checking prices for a 9060 XT; that could be a better entry-level GPU. I think an 8GB card like the 2070 Super might be less ideal in 2025.
