It's definitely worth it to aim for full stack development, but starting with frontend is fine too! Being versatile can really help in the job market.
I can't say if it's a bad idea for you, but it didn't work out for me. I started with web dev for a few years and quit after getting stuck on React. I shifted my focus to backend programming and I'm really enjoying it! If you think web dev isn't for you, consider backend for its focus on coding and architecture, which might be more your style.
Given the current job landscape, I'd lean towards focusing on backend development or systems administration. With AI and automation on the rise, those roles will still need skilled workers. While web dev is great, the entry-level spaces feel pretty saturated right now, especially with big companies cutting jobs due to automation.
