I've been having a frustrating issue over the past week where my friends can't connect to any game servers for titles that utilize Easy Anti Cheat. The problem started after they cleared out a massive amount of files from their downloads folder to free up space. After that, when they tried to play Rematch with me, they received this error: "Steam login error. Game servers are not able to connect to Steam services. Please try again." We have gone through multiple troubleshooting steps, including checking the integrity of game files, reinstalling the game and Steam, and even repairing Easy Anti Cheat, but nothing has worked. We tried games like Elden Ring and Fortnite, and the same issues keep popping up. The only game that worked was CS2. We even reinstalled Windows multiple times—once keeping personal files and once completely wiping everything—but those didn't help either. The last thing we suspect could be affecting everything is the network configuration. Any advice or solutions would be appreciated!

The Steam login error suggests a problem with your Steam account rather than Easy Anti Cheat. Given that you reinstalled Windows and the issue is specific to EAC games, it sounds more like a network issue. Make sure to check your network setup and router settings for anything amiss. Once we changed the DNS settings and reset the router, everything started working again.
It could be a ban, but since your friend is a streamer and hasn't cheated, that seems unlikely. Usually, if you're banned by Easy Anti Cheat, you get notified when starting the game. Just a thought, but it's worth double-checking that there aren't any account issues or notifications that were missed.
