Issues Connecting Xbox Controller via Bluetooth on Linux

Hey everyone! I'm new to Linux and currently using PikaOs for both gaming and work, and so far, it's been great. I've got an Xbox One controller that connects just fine via USB, but I can't seem to get it to work over Bluetooth. I've already installed the xpadneo driver, but still no luck. Is there anything I might be missing? Also, I'm thinking about getting a new controller since my Xbox one is pretty old. I've heard good things about the 8BitDo controllers, but does anyone know if they work well with Linux? Any recommendations would be appreciated!

A lot of folks have good experiences with Xbox and 8BitDo controllers on Linux. Personally, I've used 8BitDo and I can vouch for its smooth functionality. You should definitely consider that if you're looking for a new controller.

I use an 8BitDo wireless controller, and it works flawlessly on Linux! It’s definitely a solid choice if you're looking for something reliable and fun to use.

You might need to update the firmware on your Xbox One controller because older models sometimes have Bluetooth issues. You can do that by connecting it to a Windows PC or an Xbox. As for alternatives, I have the Gamesir Nova Lite, which is very similar to the Xbox controller, and it works great on Linux!

So, hold on! Are you saying that some older Xbox One controllers can actually connect over Bluetooth only after a firmware update? How would I do that using Windows if I have a dual-boot setup?
