I bought an iPhone online using my friend's employee discount, but later decided to switch to a different color. While the first phone was sent to my home because I was traveling, I picked up the second one in-store. When I returned the first phone to the store, I was told my refund would go back to the original payment method. However, it's been three weeks and I still haven't received my refund. I've opened a case, but there's been no progress, and I've been shuffled around between needing to visit the store and calling support. Has anyone else dealt with this kind of situation? I just want to get my $1,600 refund—am I out of luck?

Hey! Sounds like a frustrating experience. I’d suggest checking if there was any mix-up with the original payment method. Sometimes refunds can get sent back to different cards if the original card is not available. If you’re still not getting anywhere, it might help to ask for a supervisor in-store. They often have more authority to resolve issues like this.
I faced a similar issue once! From what I learned, Apple usually refunds to the original method used for payment, so if that card isn't available, it’s tricky. Have you tried getting any documentation or proof of your return? Sometimes having that can expedite things with customer service.
I have the return receipt, so that should hopefully help when I follow up! Thanks for the advice!

Thanks for the tips! I think going in-store and asking for a manager is a solid move. Hopefully, they can help me straightens things out!
